This year saw greater demand than ever for food requests. Our Christmas Warehouse Program held in mid December was a great success. In the three days we worked, over 10,000 food boxes were made. This year at Christmas alone Feed the Hungry Foundation served more than 46,000 people with 10,236 food boxes. The food boxes were delivered to families in need by volunteers. I am very proud of the work our great volunteers did this year. THANK YOU!
The building we are in now has been sold and the new owners plan to use our warehouse space for a restaurant. They have told us we need to look for another home, but have given us a lot of time to do it. So by March we will be in new space. We are still looking, so if you know of space available, please let us know. We know with God’s help we will find the right place for this ministry.
We are already looking at the 2012 annual Feed the Hungry Foundation, Inc. Dan Reeves Golf Classic, and it is not too early to put your foursome together. You will once again be able to sign up by going to the link on our web site and completing the form once dates and location are fixed. Stay tuned for more on that.
Feed the Hungry Foundation, Inc. has served the least, the last, and the lost since 1977. The Foundation is very concerned that financial gifts we receive are used properly. Based on our latest audit $0.90 of every $1.00 goes to program services. Our desire is to keep the cost for administrative and fundraising expenses to a minimum, and we are succeeding!
Feed the Hungry Foundation, Inc. provided over 20,000 boxes of food to needy families during 2011. That represents more than 1,000,000 meals! It looks like 2012 will continue to see more people in need of our service.
Families call and we help. But that help can only happen if we continue to have the financial resources to pay the expenses of the Foundation. It can only happen if we have the volunteer churches to help deliver the food boxes. It can only happen if we have volunteers to help sort and pack the food boxes. It can only happen if we get YOUR HELP.
It will happen as long as God chooses for us to help His children. We need your support financially, as a volunteer and through your prayers for this ministry.
